Golden Gate Valley Branch Library
San Francisco, CA
San Francisco's Golden Gate Valley Branch Library is an aging Carnegie Library designed by Ernest Coxhead and built in 1918. The project includes a full renovation of the library, encompassing seismic, life safety, MEP, and accessibility upgrades, and converting the historic jewel into a modern, technology-rich, LEED Gold public resource. The developed design solution features a small, contemporary addition incorporating a stair and a new elevator to provide access for all.
