The new Mercy Housing complex will be located at 10th Street and Mission Street in San Francisco and is intended to provide affordable family and elderly housing. The complex consists of a fifteen-story Family Housing Building and an eight-story Elderly Housing Building. The Family Housing Building, with a total elevated housing floor area of 192,000 sf, includes 8,000 sf of parking, a community theater, and retail spaces covering the entire first floor. This building features an “L”-shaped floor plan that steps three times throughout its height to form a slender, four-story tower at the intersecting legs of the “L.” On the second floor, there is an additional 7,400 sf of exterior courtyards and terraces. The Elderly Housing Building has a total of 78,000 sf of elevated housing floor area, with 9,000 sf of parking, elderly facilities, and offices covering the entire first floor.
