North Concord/Martinez BART Station

Concord, CA

The North Concord/Martinez Station is the first new station for BART since 1972. Structural design elements include the station building, passenger concourse, and platform with a steel-framed canopy. The project features 1,300 linear feet of cantilevered reinforced concrete retaining walls up to 40 feet in height, a 2-lane vehicular bridge, a 50-foot single-span pedestrian bridge, bus stop canopies, and an ancillary building. The station is designed to remain functional after the maximum credible seismic event. SOHA Engineers is the prime structural consultant.
