​This project is part of a city-wide program to upgrade and expand existing city-owned library facilities. It involves the structural, architectural, and mechanical rehabilitation of the existing Parkside Library plus an addition. Seismic retrofit work entails providing an adequate load transfer path to existing structural framing members and adding new concrete shear walls. The new addition is structurally tied to the existing building.
